Maraiza de Fátima Silva known by all her friends as Mara is a big city girl living and enjoying the small city life.
One year ago (2019), she and your husband made a big decision to move to Cape Breton Island. Her hometown is Uberlândia in Minas Gerais, Brazil.
She has a Chemistry Bachelor. However, she fell in love with helping people to develop personally and professionally and is a graduate of the class of 2010.
During her time at Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, she was actively involved in school life by participating in the organization of several congresses at the Institute of Chemistry, in addition to participating in events of other courses.
After graduating, she acquired experiences in Digital Marketing and Coaching / Mentoring for people looking to achieve high performance, make a career transition or improve the quality of life.
Today, she uses her experience and knowledge to assist the Brazilian community that resides in several countries around the world. She also participates voluntarily in several projects in Canada: The Good Food Bus; Cape Breton Hospital Foundation; CBRM Welcome Group - Cape Breton Regional Municipality Welcome Group and EGV Canada - Value Generation Embassies in Canada (helps promote networking between entrepreneurs, organize events for new members and guests to chat and do business, engage and contribute to the community).
She also just became a member of the Cape Breton Immigrant Advisory Table with the Local Immigration Partnership and she is excited to give back to the Island in whatever way she can.
In the future, Maraiza has dreams to work in a non-profit organization that helps people to believe in their dreams, use their strengths to reach their goals and have a quality of life.
When Maraiza is not busy working or reading books, she spends some of her time with new friends from many cultures or walking in Cape Breton. She loves engaging with the community.
