Once Upon An Island

Once Upon An Island: Traditional Tales from New Cape Bretoners

Once Upon An Island: Traditional Tales from New Cape Bretoners is a collection of traditional folktales, legends, myths, and stories from around the world, told by new Cape Bretoners who were born outside of Canada. This project showcases the diversity of storytelling traditions that exist here on Cape Breton Island.

Once Upon An Island: Traditional Tales from New Cape Bretoners is a project of the Cape Breton Local Immigration Partnership, The Cape Breton Partnership, the Cape Breton Regional Library, and with support from the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration.
